Subsea Tractor
Tractor "Taurus" features a highly modular and open-frame design, enabling flexible integration of subsystems for diverse trenching missions. Its combined track and skid system ensures stability across varying seabed terrains, while customizable buoyancy options support enhanced stability, controlled ground pressure, and future upgrades. The tractor is compatible with multiple excavation methods, including jetting, chain cutting, and wheel cutting.

Built for reliability, Taurus gives operators peace of mind in demanding offshore projects. Intelligent operation assistance combines machine-learning cable tracking, subsea positioning, and real-time attitude adjustment. Advanced functions such as autonomous tracking, multi-level cable tension monitoring, and topology-based fault diagnostics deliver the precision, safety, and efficiency needed to trench with confidence: every time.

Main Features

Transportation and Installation
A highly modular design allows quick assembly and disassembly of the chassis, track system, jetting system, and main lift point. Supplied with dedicated tools, the system simplifies mobilisation and significantly reduces transport costs.

Performance Upgrades
Optional extra-wide jetting tool and depressor accommodate cable diameters up to 630 mm. Configurable chain and wheel cutter modules adapt to challenging seabed conditions. A local emergency panel can be provided for diver or ROV access, ensuring safe operation in case of emergency.

After Sales Service
We provide 24/7 after-sales support, including product leasing, engineering and operational assistance, repairs, maintenance, and upgrades. All services are delivered through Subsea Forge as your single point of contact, giving you worry-free support and peace of mind throughout the life of the system.

Product Highlights

Cable Protection System
Track system, floating jetting, survey devices, and load sensors work together for fast burial while protecting cables and surrounding infrastructure.

Progressive Positioning & Navigation System
Combines GPS, USBL, INS, DVL, and advanced navigation software for real-time positioning and monitoring of the tractor, support vessel, and cable across all depths.

Cutting-edge Cable Tracking System
Supports advanced cable tracking and acoustic imaging devices, including Teledyne and Optimal Ranging, for accurate cable direction and position measurement, even in high sea states.

Advanced High-pressure Jetting System
Independently adjustable jetting swords allow variable trench widths, with each water circuit controlled separately to adapt to different seabed soils and burial depths. Optional independent or integrated depressors support various cable types, while an additional front jetting system can be fitted to further improve trenching efficiency.
